Does US divorce laws apply to permanent residents who are not citizens of USA? My husband, child and myself moved to the US in 1995. We are green card holders, not citizens of USA. Do US divorce laws apply to us? Also, we were married in India and not in USA? How do the laws affect us? |

My husband and i are french and we married at las vegas 10 years ago, never registered this marriage in a french consulate. today we would like to know how to divorce and where as we ae not citizens of the usa ?. thank you for your help. marie
I have been married for 10 years to a u.s. citizen and in the procees of a divorce. i have had me permanent resident card since may 4, 2006. when can i apply for my citizenship. my husband says that he will have me deported because i have not had my pernament resedience for 5 years, is this true?
