In any event, you should have received a certified copy of your decree upon the order being finalized.

But, you can return to the clerk of the court and have a certified copy made in a matter of minutes, depending upon how busy you local clerk's office is. It will cost you about $1 per page. This is not something that lends itself well to accomplished but by visiting the court.

Peanutbread my divorce was just finalized by a judge on Tuesday and I got papers but they weren't certified, once the court does it's magic would they send me another one that was Certified? Thanks in advance!

They SHOULD, but that might take up to a month. If the court is in a relatively small jurisdiction, you might call them and ask. If it is in Cook County, sigh.

Yep good old crook county so I suppose I should just go there myself one of these days. Thanks for the answer but man that sucks. That's cook county for you charging for something that they should have given you the first time for free.
