You were wronged in your younger days by a father who disappeared and left you alone with the children.

Now that the authorities finally have caught up with this man, he's going to have to pay what he owed you from all those years when he abandoned you and disobeyed the lawful authority of the court to order child support payments.

There are statue of limitations depending on the state you live in to enforce a child support order. In NYS it is 20 years for a judgement entered after 1987. It is also 6 years for a judgement or a default entered before 1987.

In North Carolina the statue of limitations to enforce a child support order is only 10 years. Some states do not have a State of Limitations.

To know for sure if you are entitled to recieve back pay I would have to know the state you live in. Personally I feel you are entitled to it but unfortunatley there are laws you must go by.

Your entitled to what is owed to you so child support will have to be submitted for wage garnishments to his or her work and/ or bank account
