in small claims court can i ask for attorney fees for a divorce i was drug into? My mother in law divorced my father in law, and added me and my husband as defendents along with my father in law. The courts didnt address us for anything and asked why we were there. My mother in law told them she added us so she could add us to his restraining order, we were in court for almost two years, myself & my husband had to pay our attorney for nothing, we did nothing for this action, but when we asked our attorney to ask for our fees back in divorce court he told us we probly would not get them, not to many people do, my point is we paid a attorney for two years because my mother in law drug us into something we should not of had to go through, why should i just suck that up? will small claims be worth asking for these fees back from my mother in law? we live in Ohio. |

No not really ive never seen this happen in all the years i ballfit court, small claims is not the court to do this, you might try this but it will be a waste of time , you all chose to have your lawyer , she didnt, some times the judge will order some one thats bought you to court to pay them , but not an onlooker waiting
